Shower Hand-Tied - シャワースタイルの花束

シャワースタイルの花束作りは、作業が大変なことに加えて、重い！でも出来上がりは、やっぱりエレガントで素敵ですよね。It is not easy to create Shower style Arrangement, so you can imagine how difficult to create the same style in Hand-Tied. Yes, it is hard, but, as you can see, they are worthwhile:　elegant and beautiful!


由未さんが束ねられた花束がこちらです。ウェディングにいかがでしょうか？流れの美しいこの花束は、いつもお世話になっている方へプレゼントされるとのことでした。Yumi designed this Hand-Tied, which would look so good on a wedding. This gorgeous design was a gift to her long-time mentor, and I am sure this design has brought lots of smile to someone.

朋子さんの作品は、冬から春への生命の息吹を感じさせる和の美。和装で臨まれる結婚式に、ぴったりではないでしょうか？Tomoko has created this Hand-Tied. It captures the moment of transition: Winter to Spring, new life and its strength. How about having a Wedding Bouquet like this if you are wearing Kimono at your ceremony?



邦子さんんが束ねられた花束も、春の生命力であふれています。すっきりとまとめあげられたフォルムが素敵です。This is Kuniko's work. It is full of bursting energy of fresh Spring! Lovely neat profile, too.





恵子さんの作品がこちらです。この柔らかく溶けてしまいそうな色の組み合わせでのシャワースタイル。まさにウェディングに最適ですね。Keiko's design has a wonderfully soft colour combination. With this Shower style, this design would look great on a wedding day.







容子さんの作品です。花材の向き／位置をしっかりと見極めながら、大変丁寧に束ねられた作品です。流れ出るような動きが伝わってきますね。Yoko has designed this Hand-Tied. Each material was carefully chosen according to it shape and position here. You can almost hear its flow and movement in this design.

Shower Arrangement - シャワースタイルのアレンジ

シャワースタイルのアレンジは、華やかさが数段増します。葉材の持つラインを見ながら、微妙な空気感を取り入れていくところがポイント。クラスでがんばったその努力の成果が、こちらの写真にしっかり出ていますよね。Shower style arrangements have such a grace and elegance! I think the key to create this style is to look at the line of each material and taking NEGATIVE SPACE on board. Everyone worked ever so hard, and you can see the result of it here.

まずは彩子さんの作品から。葉ものの流れをしっかり活かし、大きな作品を仕上げられました。Saiko has created rather large design, with strong emphasis on beautiful foliage lines.



こちらは路子さんの作品。しっとりと落ち着いた色合いと、かっちりとした作りが、大人っぽく目に映ります。This is Michiko's work. Its colour scheme has so much nuance, yet the shape is so neat. The end result is a classic beauty.




美絵さんの作品では、濃い色のカラーが絶妙の位置に配され、アレンジの流れを印象づけます。Mie has used those bordeaux colour Zantedeschia. By placing each flower in right direction and position, the design has its beautiful flow.





恵子さんは、柔らかな流れと配色を大切に、とても春らしい作品を完成されました。Keiko has created this lovely soft design: delicate materials, lines and frosty yet fresh colour. Can you smell the SPRING?


















こちらの邦子さんの作品は、春のガーデンパーティーにぴったりの作品ですよね。それにしてもこのボリューム。オアシスの１／３しか使用されていないんですよ。This is Kuniko's design. It is a perfect design for Spring Garden! And, what a volume!Can you believe that Kuniko has created this design, using only 1/3 of whole block of floral form?

あけましておめでとうございます！

昨年クラスに沢山おいでいただけた方も、なかなかおいでいただけなかった方も、健康で笑いの絶えない、実りの多い年になることをお祈りしています。

初心を忘れず、クラスの皆さんと一緒に２０１０年も花を生けていきたいと思います。是非、クラスにおいで下さい。お待ちしています。

今年のクラスは、１月の２１日より再開予定です。

アドバンスクラスの内容は
１)自然の景色をアレンジの中に再構築するランドスケープデザインに始まり、
２)垂直ラインのみを使い花の姿を愛でるパラレルヴァーティカル、
３)ヨーロピアンスタイルの花束、
４)水平ラインのみを使うパラレルホリゾンタル、
５)植物の伸び広がる姿を活かすスパイラルへと進んでいきます。
今回は植物の持つラインを強調するデザインコンセプトが多いタームになります。植物を見る目と空間の取り込み方がぐっと伸びるタームです。

初めてクラスに参加をされる方には、丸いラウンドアレンジ、三角のフロントフェーシング、花束、花瓶を使ってのアレンジ、そして三日月型のクレッセントを一緒に作っていきましょう。

昨年アロマ教室を開催いただいたノリコ先生によるフラワーレメディー講座や、日本のテレビや雑誌でご活躍中の先生に、テーブルセッティング講座も予定されています。もちろんキューガーデンの散策なども計画中です。

今年もみんなと一緒に花を生けていけることを楽しみにしています。

The Weekly Class resumes on 21st January 2010!

This term consists of 5 design.
On Advance Class, the menu is Landscape Design, Parallel Vertical, Continental-style Hand-tied, Parallel Horizontal, and Spiral Design. It is a term which concentrates on the use of line and movement as well as the use of negative space.

On Basic Class, the menu is Round, Front Facing, Hand-Tied, Vase arrangement and Crescent design. Let's create some beautiful designs with your own flowers.

So looking forward to seeing you in the class in 2010!

Hogarth Shape Arrangement - S字アレンジを作って

ハムステッドの教室から、智美さんの作品をご紹介します。チューリップを使ってフレッシュな作品に仕上がっています。This is Tomomi's arrangement from Hampstead class. With some beautiful Tulipas, the design looks so fresh.



こちらは朋子さんの作品です。カラーの動きがあやしく、且つクラシックな印象も持っています。This design is from Tomoko. The use of Zantedeschia adds extra interest to this design, yet it still maintain classical style well.


この作品は恵子さんによるものです。暖かみのある色調が見る人の心を和ませます。This is from Keiko. The design has a warm colour scheme, which will melt your soul.


聡子さんの作品は、少しクールな印象。グルーピングによって、作品が展開されています。Satoko's design has rather cool look. This arrangement is created with a grouping style.

Frame Hand-Tied - フレームで花束を束ねて

こちらはハムステッドの教室から、恵子さんの作品です。フレームを効果的に使い、大きな花束へと仕上げられました。From Hampstead class, this is Keiko's hand-tied design. The frame is used very effectively in this design to maximise the visual value.


こちらは朋子さんの作品です。フレームを使いフロントフェーシングの花束です。それぞれの花材がよく活かされたデザインです。Tomoko has created this front-facing design with a frame. Each material is placed in a suitable position with good space between each other.


恵さんの作品は、とてもナチュラルな仕上がりです。まるで春の花壇の一部を切り取ったかのように束ねられた花束です。This very natural looking hand-tied is from Megumi. It is just like a piece of spring meadow.

Front Facing Arrangements - 伝統的なアレンジを作って

こちらは、ハムステッド教室から知子さんの作品です。ガーベラの持つ表情が素敵ですね。This is Tomoko's work from Hampstead. Each Gerbera looks as if it is talking to you!







こちらは彩子さんの作品です。春の息吹が伝わってきませんか？Saiko has created this natural-look arrangement. Can you feel Spring breeze from this arrangement?




美穂さんの作品は、カラーとダリアによる大胆な色合わせが見る人の目を引きつけます。Miho has mixed Zantedeschia and Dahlia here. Very bold, yet very attractive combination.




こちらは小野さんの作品です。かなり大きな作品になりましたが、柔らかく、軽やかに仕上げられていますね。Ono has created this large design, however, the overall impression is so light and so airy!


こちらは恵子さんの作品です。ガーベラとアネモネが、作品のフォーカルラインをしっかり支えています。This is Keiko's work. Gerberas and Anemones are the main materials which support its forcal line well.


ウェディング会場から飛び出て来たような佳奈子さんの作品。透明感のある作品になっていますね。Kanako's design looks as if it just come out of a wedding ceremony. It is so fresh and sparkling.

Class Schedule in May - 教室日程変更のお知らせ

勝手ながら、５月の１日と８日の教室はお休みをいただきます。たくさん勉強して、面白いアイディアを持って帰ってきますね。
In May, the class schedule will be slightly altered. We are not having Weekly Classes on 1st and 8th May due to my leaning trip. Will be back with some more inspiration!

Corsage - コサージュを作って

コサージュ作りは簡単に見えて，案外時間と手間のかかるものです。しかしその甲斐あって、出来上がった作品は造花にはない輝きがありますよね。
It might look quite easy to make a corsage, but, in fact, it does take some time and effort to get it right. And, of course, it is worth making your own piece, as it has real quality you can expect only from fresh flowers!



こちらは知子さんの作品です。チューベローズの甘い薫りが、斑入りの明るい色のアイビーに囲まれています。
This is from Tomoko. The sweet scent from Polianthes tuberosa floats from a good frame of variegated ivy leaves.


恵子さんの作品は、優しい小花達をしっかり，しかし柔らかくまとめあげています。
Keiko's corsage is created in a very gentle, yet so stable manner with all different small flowers.


容子さんのコサージュでは、深紅のダリアがお行儀良くまとめられています。
Yoko created this neat looking corsage. Crimson-colour Dahlia 'Viking' really show its beauty here.




モダンコサージュを作られたのは裕季子さんと邦子さんです。裕季子さんは花が雫のようにこぼれ落ちる姿を，邦子さんは流れる葉の小舟に乗った花の姿をうまく捉えていますね。Yukiko and Kuniko made these modern corsages. Yukiko interpreted dews from a flower cup here, and Kuniko translated a leaf floating on a stream into a delicate corsage design.

Round Arrangement - 最初の一歩

アレンジの経験が全くないから心配です。。。クラスに初めて参加していただくほとんどの方が，こうおっしゃいます。ですから，最初は花を切るのも怖々だったりするのです。ところがどっこい，クラスを終わってみると、このような素敵な作品が目の前に出来上がっているんです。
Most people who have joined the Class have not had any experience of making flower arrangement before. So, it is not surprising that you feel quite nervous when you cut a flower stem for the first time. Although it might have been their first time, look! At the end of the class, they have made these lovely arrangements.


こちらはハムステッド教室から美絵さんの作品。かすみ草の咲き方も上品で、瑞々しく仕上がっています。
From Hampstead Class, this is Mie's design. The use　of Gypsophilia was just right, so that the design kept its freshness.


知子さんの作品では、深みのある緋の色を使いながら、質感の違いで人の目を引きつけます。
This is Tomoko's design. Scarlet is the obvious colour choice here, but Tomoko has created good visual interest through different texture.


こちらの作品は恵子さんによるもの。スプレーキクを丁寧にアレンジし、美しいドームを作り上げられました。
This work is made by Keiko. This beautiful dome shape was the result of her careful arrangement of various spray Chrysanthemum.


こちらは眞子さんの作品。ソリダゴはアレンジするのがなかなか難しい素材の１つなのですが、作品をつなぎ合わせる素材としてうまく用いていますね。
This is Mako's design. Solidago is a rather tricky material to use in an arrangement, however, Mako has used this material to fill the gap well, and to foam its shape even better.

Crescent Arrangement - クレッセント・アレンジを作って

ベーシッククラスのとりを飾ってくれるのが，クレッセントスタイルです。皆さん、素材の持つ流れに心を配って活けてくださいました。
The last step of Basic Classes is Crescent Arrangememnt. Everyone paid good attention to their own material and its shape in order to create a beautiful crescent shape.


ハムステッド教室のの智美さんの作品です。少しスモーキーな色合いの素材に、レモンシャーベット色のバラを配して、軽やかさを出しています。
This design is from Tomomi in Hampstead Class. Lemon-Sorbet-coloured roses bring some lightness to this smoky colour themed design.



知子さんは、クリアーなピンクを正面から用いての作品作り。こぼれ落ちる白い小花も素敵です。
Tomoko has made this very 'pink' design. The small delicate flowers look as if they were dancing like some snow flakes o this design.


こちらは恵子さんの作品です。アレンジに安定感があり、見る人の気持ちをほっとさせてくれます。
This is from Keiko. The design has a good visual balance. Don't you find find happiness in this design? I do!


真代さんの作品には、美しい背骨があります。シンプルですが、見応えがありますね。
Masayo's crescent design has a beautiful 'spine'. It is s simple design, but it really is an eye catcher.

Front Facing Arrangements - 伝統的なアレンジを作って

三方見のアレンジメントは、花材が少なくても立派に魅せる事が出来るデザインの１つではないでしょうか？　また，お家に飾る時も、何かと勝手がいいデザインですよね。
Front Facing Arrangement: it is a useful design when you have limited number of material to make an arrangement, as you can still make the design fairly big. Also, the overall shape is suitable for your house!


こちらは知子さんのデザイン。ガーベラの持つそれぞれの表情が大切にアレンジされています。
This is Tomoko's design from Hampstead class. The Gerberas in this design look as if they were talking to each other.


美穂さんのデザインは、白を基調とした夏らしい色合わせで、涼しく魅せていますね。このダリア，花も大きいですが，その茎の太さにもびっくりでした。
Miho's design has very summery feel to it. White is the key colour here, and you can almost feel nice breeze here. These Dahlias are big, but their stems were really thick, and it was a difficult material to work with for Miho!


こちらは恵子さんのデザインです。青色の矢車草が、アレンジにアクセントとまとまりを与えていますね。
This is Keiko's design. With vivid Corn flowers (Centaurea cyanus), her very soft and feminine design is spiced up really well.


カラーをメインに据えたデザインは、美絵さんの作品です。スプレーの小菊も丁寧に小分けされアレンジされています。
Mie used some interesting colour Zantedeschias in her design. She also paid good attention to how to maximise limited number of Spray Chrysanthemum.

Vegetative Round - 植生的なラウンドアレンジを作ってラベンダーを使って

ラウンドアレンジメントは、簡単に見えて実は案外奥が深いものです。アドバンス・クラスでは、植生的なスタイルのアレンジを作製します。
You might think it is easy to make a round arrangement, but, in fact, you would be surprised how much attention requires to create a good balanced design. In our Advanced Class, we are making Vegetative Round Arrangements.


まずはハムステッドの教室を体験に見えた美穂さんの作品。やわらかな色のあじさいを取り入れた作品で、多くの種類の葉モノも素敵ですね。
This is from Miho, who came to Hampstead class while she was in London on her holiday. Her design has a subtle colour Hydrangea with several different kinds of foliage. A very sweet arrangement.


こちらは真代さんの作品です。一目惚れしたというミルクティー色のカーネーションをメインにおいて、大人のアレンジです。
This is Masayo's design. She chose those beautiful Carnations which she fellin love with at first sight. Very tender and quiet.


こちらはさと子さんの作品です。ポイントに使われているラベンダーの小さな束や、真ん中に潜むコルディラインにご注目ください。
Satoko's design has a few additional interests. Please check how sweet a small bunch of Lavender on the design, and a gorgeous cerise Cordyline fruticosa leaf sitting in its focal area.


ブルームスブリーの教室から、こちらは容子さんの作品です。窓辺に飾られた寄せ鉢からインスピレーションを受けたと言う色合わせは、清潔感に溢れる鮮やかさです。
From Bloomsbury Class, this is Yoko's design. This clean and fresh colour scheme was an inspiration from a window container she saw and loved. It has a good balance, too.



裕季子さんは、ラベンダーを使ってロマンティックな雰囲気を更に盛り上げています。花材の合わせ方も素敵ですね。
Yukiko has made this romantic design. A wide range of material, which was well chosen and mixed were surrounded by scented Lavender.

Shower Style Arrangement - シャワースタイルのアレンジを作って

アドバンスクラスで作っていただいた、シャワースタイルのアレンジメントをご紹介します。このスタイルは様々な用途に応用が出来るのですが，目にするのが多いのはやっぱり結婚式での新郎新婦の席ではないでしょうか？
Here are some Shower Style Arrangements from Advance Class. This style can be applied to various designs, but, perhaps, the most popular position to be displayed be on a top table at wedding parties?


ブルームスブリーの教室からは、イサーの作品です。大きな作品に仕上がりましたが、作品の構成に安定感がありますね。
From Bloomsbury Class, this is Ethaar's design. She successfully created a substantial size out of a one-third piece of water retaining foam, yet, still maintained good balance in its composition.





ハムステッドの教室からは、さと子さんの作品をご紹介します。エレガントで清潔感溢れる作品で、ウェディングの場にもピッタリではないでしょうか？
This is Satoko's design from Hampstead Class. It is a very elegant and clean design. It is easily transferred to any wedding occasion. Can't you visualise it??

Round Arrangements - ラウンドアレンジを作って

花の教室でも、この７月から新しいシーズンが始まりました。各シーズンの最初のベーシッククラスでは、ラウンドアレンジを取り上げています。July 2007: A new season has began at LivingSeasons flower Arranging Classes. Round arrangement is the first design to make at the first class on Basic Classes.

桂子さんの作品は、春らしい華やかさに溢れた作品です。ミモザがこぼれ出してくるようですね。
Keiko's design is full of Spring Sun! Acacia is bursting out like the sunshine.


こちらは早苗さんのアレンジメント。力強くて深みのある作品です。
Sanae has made this visually strong, yet delicate arrangement, which maintained nuance within.


恵子さんの作品は、野の花を集めて来たような風情があります。
This work is from Keiko. How natural this arrangement is! It is just like an air of wild meadow.


美紀さんは、使ってみたかったエリンジウムを用いた作品。いつもと違う組み合わせに挑戦です。
Miki has set her a new challenge: using Eryngium. And, as you can see, she successfully mix this within her design.

さと子さんは、アドバンスクラスの最後に再度ラウンドアレンジを作製してくれました。美しい色合わせとフォルム。少し垂らしたアイビーが素敵ですね。
Satoko has been on Advanced Class for a while, and on her 'Your Own Choice' day, she chose this Round Arrangement. The result was a marvelous one. Beautiful colour and form. This trailing Ivy ('Hedera helix') added even more depth to this work.
