A Place Apart - アイルランドから

５月にアイルランドで花のチャリティーイベント'A Place Apart'が開かれました。会場はBuncranaというとても美しい場所にあるLoreto House。窓から見える景色はちょっと懐かしいものがありました。
I was privileged to be invited over to a charity event called 'A Place Apart' in Ireland. The space is Loreto House in a beautiful area called Buncrana.





今年はこの建物の一室を担当。今度はゆっくりと来てみたいと思います。バンクラナの皆さん、大変御世話になりました！また是非お会いしたいです。
One of the rooms on the first floor was my room this year. The stay really made me feel like coming back again, perhaps a little bit longer. Hello, Buncrana! Thank you very much for your warm heart, and looking forward to seeing you soon.

Eustoma in Full Bloom - トルコ桔梗、満開

女の子の誕生日パーティーをという事で、チェルシーの川沿い（チェルシーフラワーショウの開かれる場所です）にマーキーを張っての会場装花のお手伝い。イスラエルとドイツからのフローリストに加わり、それはそれは贅沢な花使いでした。ロンドンとドイツからのフローリストチームは、何度か一緒に仕事をしている仲間なので気心も知れていますが、やっぱり現場になれば緊張感がみなぎります。12時間をゆうに超える作業が終わり、手元に残ったのはイスラエルからはるばる運ばれて来たトルコ桔梗達。抱えきれないほどの花とともに、笑顔でバスに乗り込みます。幸せも、お裾分けしてもらいました。
There was a big birthday party for a girl on the Thames the other day. (It is the place where Chelsea Flower show is set up) A huge marquee was erected, and countless boxes of flowers arrived. The London team worked with florists from Israel and Germany: we worked together before, so it was nice to see them again, but the work is a hard work and long hours. After more than 12 hours, there were some more flowers left unused: Eustoma from Israel. Some came with me with a big smile on my face.

Limited Edition from Living Seasons- 一日限定のリビングシーズンズ

ブルームスブリー教室で御世話になっている教会、St. George's Bloomsbury。こちらで今週の土曜日，7月14日に行なわれるサマーフェアに、リビング・シーズンズが一日限定でお店を出します。花好きの仲間が集まって、何か楽しいストールになりそうな予感が、、、。他にも様々なストールが出されるとの事。是非見に来てください。教会の詳しい情報は、リビング・シーズンズのホームページをご覧ください。

St. George's Bloomsbury Church is the place where we have Bloomsbury Class on Thursday evenings. This Saturday, 14th July 2007, they are organising Summer Fair within their court yard, and Living Seasons is also a part of this fair! Some of the colleagues from our flower classes will be there to make some designs exclusively for you. There will be other stalls selling books, cards, candles and cakes...etc, etc. So, why not come along to see what is going on? You can check the detail of the church on www.livingseasons.com.

Spring Florist Event 2007 - スプリング・フローリスト・イベント2007

ちょっと遅くなってしまいましたが、今年の１月にバーミンガムで行なわれたスプリング・フローリスト・イベント2007でのデモの様子です。20分ほど時間をいただいて、4つの作品を作らせていただきました。（と言っても，当日の朝から下ごしらえにはずっと掛かっていたのですが、、、。）
当日たくさんの人から手助けをいただきました。心から感謝。

I know it has been a while, but here are some of the pictures from Spring Florist Event 2007 in Birmingham. Among other florists, we had about 20 minutes each to do some demonstration work on a stage. I made 4 works, although it took me almost all day from the morning to do all the preparation... I was lucky enough to be there, and fortunate enough to receive so much support and help from many people on the day. Thank YOU ALL!
